Project Concept Note

Virtual Museum: "Amrita – The Essence of Ayurvedic Beverages"

1. Project Title

Amrita – A Virtual Museum of Ayurvedic Beverages

2. Concept Overview

The Amrita Virtual Museum is a conceptual digital space that recreates the sanctity of a traditional Hindu temple in a single square virtual room. Each wall niche (similar to temple devakulikas) becomes a window into the ancient world of Ayurvedic beverages. Through immersive graphics, interactive compositions, and multimedia storytelling, visitors will explore sacred and medicinal drinks like Soma, Sura, Madhu, Madira, Asava, Arishta, and others. Each beverage will be presented with its mythological roots, medicinal value, ingredients, preparation techniques, and cultural significance.

3. Spatial Design Concept

Element Description
Room Format A square virtual room inspired by the inner sanctum (garbhagriha) of a Hindu temple.
Niches 12–16 wall niches, each resembling temple shrines. Each niche is dedicated to one specific beverage.
Central Element A glowing Mandala or Kalasha symbol at the center of the room representing the concept of Amrita (immortal nectar).
